Fed poly oko: Rector inspects

 *Assures infrastructural development

   The new Rector of Federal polytechnic oko,Dr.(Engr)Francisca Unoma Nwafulugo has started inspecting facilities as well as touring acedemic and non-acedemic departments in order to familiarize herself with the polytechnic community.she toured the department and Dean of mass communication where she was received by the head of department and Dean, school of information technology,Dr.Onyeka Uwakwe as well as staff and students of the department when she arrived the department.she solicited the support of the staff of the department.Responding to her,Dr.Onyeka Uwakwe congratulated her on her appointment and also assured her of the department support.The head of the department took the Rector and her entourage around the department which afforded her a firsthand knowledge of the problems in the department.


Dr.Uwakwe used the opportunity to inform the Rector that mass communication is a flagship department and requested the Rector to address the equipment need of the department.Dr. Uwakwe noted that it will enable the department maintain her enviable height already attained in the country.

 The Rector in response assured that the department will be addressed.Areas visited included moment 98.7 FM, workshop studio and laboratories.The Rector urged the department to come up with written presentation of the needs of the department.

Among her entourage were, Deputy Rector,Dr.Izuchukwu Onu and the Acting Liberian Mrs.Nwabu Ezemba.The tour continued to the Chinese Confucius department,fine and Applied Art, library and information science, fashion and Design among others.

it could be recalled that Dr.francisca Unoma Nwafulugo was appointed substantive Rector for Federal Polytechnic oko in March 2019.The Rector was later officially introduced to the Polytechnic by the Governing council on March 25,2019.
